raw photos
For the raw photos in this image, I took photos of my sister. I tried to frame her face so that it was up close and also slightly to one side of the image. I took these against a plain wall in the morning when the lighting was good.

To edit this photo, I used Lightroom first. After I edited it to be black and white, I put it into Photoshop and used the paint tool to draw on and outline parts of the photo. I noticed that the quality of the photo looks worse after I uploaded it to this site. When in Photoshop, the image was much more crisp and defined.

I chose to mat this photo with a white mat board to contrast the dark values of the photo. I think that the matting could have turned out a little bit better this time because the inside corners of the mat board are not as clean as they could be. I also printed this photo on a glossy paper so that colors wouldn't be compromised. However, I do feel like the colors on the printed copy differ slightly from the colors on the original digital copy in Photoshop.
