Photo Painting
Reflection
To create this piece, I used a photo that I took during the first semester of this year. I printed it on glossy photo paper and then used a light orange acrylic paint to make it look like color was spilling out of his eyes. As an artist, I really like to do experimental work. Most of my work is experimental as I never really know exactly how it will turn out, and I really like that about it. I like to usually have a vision for what I want my art to look like, but it never actually turns out exactly like my vision, which I think adds to the art and also associates emotions and memories with the art as the outcome is dependent on the experience I have while shooting.
