3D Zentangle Drawing
This is my 3D Zentangle piece. The task was to create a sculptural form to develop and draw zentangle patterns on. This piece was made by using wire hangers, a block of wood, nylon stockings, and white paint. First, the wire hangers were bent into the desired shape and glued into 4 holes that were drilled into the wood block. The nylon stocking was then stretched over the form and painted over with white paint. They key skills and knowledge in this project included development of zentangle patterns, shape, form, and movement. In my final product, I succeeded in creating multiple patterns, but did not cover the entire sculpture with them. What I learned while constructing and finishing this project was how to develop unique patterns. In reflecting on this project, I like the patterns I choose, especially the gridded form ones as seen in the first picture, but I need to continue working on maintaining consistency within individual patterns.
